3 days in Prague

Day 1 - Prague

The old to the new

Start the day in Wenceslas Square, the heart of the Nove Mesto (New Town). While it has succumbed to numerous high-street chains and fast-food kiosks, it is an impressive square nonetheless, largely due to the National Museum which looms over it.

From here go to the Old Town Square in the heart of the Stare Mesto (Old Town). Catch the Procession of the Apostles at the astronomical clock on the Old Town Hall before climbing to the top of the hall for knockout views. Check out the Church of St Tyn, also on the square.

Prague’s Josefov district has many of Prague’s best restaurants. One of these is Orange Moon. The area has some cool bars too.

Day 2 - Prague

Prague's number one attraction

Start the day with breakfast in Kava Kava Kava on Narodni trida at the west side of the top of Wenceslas Square. Upon exiting grab tram #19 or #22 to Prague Castle, the city’s number one attraction. Enjoy castle’s highlights such as St Vitus Cathedral and Golden Lane.

Exit at Golden Lane and take in the amazing views over the Vltava River from the castle steps. At the bottom grab lunch before visiting St Nicholas’ Church. From there make your way back to the east side of the river via Charles Bridge, the best known of all the bridges that cross it.

That night grab a bite to eat in one of the restaurants on Vodickova off Wenceslas Square before ending the day in Vinarna U Sudu further up the same street.

Day 3 - Prague

Petrin Hill

Start the day in Bohemia Bagel on Ujezd in teh Mala Strana (west side of the River Vltava) before taking the funicular to Petrin Hill. When the crowds of the Stare Mesto are getting too much for you this is the perfect place to retreat thanks to its parks and views over the city.

In the afternoon go for a cruise on the river and that night, after having something to eat, check out Karlovy Lane, Prague’s number one club.
